This is the second part of a two-part article related to winter skin. Part 1 addresses massage and spa treatments. Part 2 addresses at-home tips.
- Begin with cold, dry winter air.
- Add steamy baths and showers.
- Repeat for several weeks.
- Drink an adequate amount of water.
- Moisturize: Oil-based or "night" creams form a protective layer, giving your skin more protection against the elements. Stay away from rich shea oil on the face, which can clog pores.
- Cynthia's tip: Eucerin cream! It's an affordable cream that's safe for almost every skin type. CVS and other drug stores keep it in stock.
- Seek a specialist: Even one visit can make a big difference! An esthetician or dermatologist can recommend products within your budget.
